What it costs to fly the SR20

Renting the Cirrus SR20 from Wilco Aviation costs $200 per Hobbs hour dry for Pilot Club members, or $225 without a membership. Dry means the aircraft only — fuel is not included and you buy it yourself. There is a two-hour daily minimum. Overnight and multi-day trips are welcome and encouraged. You fly as pilot-in-command under FAA Part 91.

What an hour actually costs, all in

Most operators quote a wet rate that buries the fuel inside the number. We publish ours instead — including the airports where our advantage is smaller. The SR20 plans at about 11 gallons an hour. Using 100LL self-serve prices published in August 2026:

How that compares

The nearest comparable Cirrus SR20 rental runs $380 an hour wet. Fueled at our home base, ours works out to roughly $271 an hour all in for members, $296 without — about 29 percent under the nearest comparable rental. Two honest caveats. Fuel at Orlando Executive instead and you hand back about $18 an hour of that advantage. And against a $180-an-hour wet Cessna 172, the SR20 costs more all in — there you are paying for speed, a glass panel, IFR capability and a parachute, not for a cheaper hour.
