Why this airplane and not another tired 172

The SR20 was the first production general aviation aircraft certified with a whole-airframe recovery parachute, earning its type certificate in 1998. It is also the airplane the Cirrus SR22 was built from, and the SR series went on to become the most-produced piston aircraft of the 21st century. Composite airframe, side yoke, glass panel, and a parachute over the whole thing.

$200 an hour dry for members, $225 for non-members — fuel not included. Two-hour daily minimum. Overnight and multi-day trips are welcome and encouraged. You fly as pilot-in-command under FAA Part 91; there is no crew.
